Students' Participation

Students may participate in the following three competitions during the festival:

1. Art Exhibition
For All Three Days, an exhibition of arts and crafts (paintings/sculptures) prepared by students on the theme given below, is scheduled to be held at the venue (in the Multipurpose Hall of the Bihar Museum).
Theme
‘Cultural and Traditional Life in India’
Three of the exhibited Arts will be awarded on the concluding day of the festival (25 Oct. 2021).

How to Particiapate:

Students who want to participate in the exhibition must follow the steps given below.

Step-1
Get registered by filling up the Registration form by clicking the link given below.
You will receive a Confirmation Letter after successful registration.
Step-2
Submit your artwork on or before 19 October 2021 at the Bihar Museum. A print out of the Registration Confirmation Letter and a placard or tag showing Name, School/College Name and address of the artist must be attached to the entry/art object, without which the entry will not be accepted.

Rules:
  1. The participation is free.
  2. One student can submit only one entry. A maximum of 15 entries will be accepted on ‘first come first serve’ basis.
  3. All the participants will be given particiption certificates.
  4. Out of 15, 3 entries will be chosen for the First, Second & Third prize by the expert selection committee.
  5. Last date of the submission is 19 October 2021, 4PM.
  6. Winner students will be informed through telephone and are expected to be present for the award on the concluding day of the festival.
  7. No TA/DA/Cost/Remuneration is payable to the participants. Participant artists have to prepare the entry/art on their own cost.
2. Cultural Hritage Youth Leadership Award
Students of Schools and Colleges may participate in the Cultural Heritage Youth Leadership Award programme by registering on the link given below.

Rules:

  1. Studets of class 9 to 12 can participate in this scheme.
    Since the award is given to schools, a school may send a student below class 9, considering the talent of the student.
  2. Participants will attend the festival programmes on all three days (From 23 Oct, to 25 Oct. 2021) as per schedule given above.
  3. A total of 5 schools will participate in the programme; and entries will be accepted on the ‘first come first serve’ basis.
  4. From each school 4 students and at least one teacher will participate. (At least one teacher must accompany the students from a particular school.)

Instructions:

  1. Participating students will watch the infodrama Asthi Kalash and attend the seminar on Indian Culture & Heritage as per schedule given above.
  2. On the second day (24 October 2021) after the seminar, an half-hour written quiz based on the information given in the infodrama, and in the seminar will be conducted.
    NOTE: This quiz is for assessing how much information (imparted through the Infodrama and the Seminar) was retained by the students. On the basis of points obtained collectively by its students, a school will be chosen for prize.
  3. Three prizes for the winners, and two consolation prizes will be given away on the third day during the Prize Distribution Ceremony at 4:00PM.
  4. All the participants (students & teachers) will get participation certificates.

3. Ancient Indian Costume Design Competition
Students of design or of any stream having interest in designing may participate in the ‘Design Competition’.
In this competition 10 students will be given task of preparing 10 different costumes & artist-properties pertaining to the Mauryan and Pre-Mauryan charactors of the infodrama Asthi Kalash to be staged on the first day of the festival.
The properly designed costumes and art-works will be evaluated by an expert-panel comprising of the director of the play and a few Indologists; and three of them will be chosen for prize.
The suitable costumes and artworks may be used in the Heritage Infodrama Asthi Kalash, scheduled to be staged on 23 October 2021.

Rules:

  1. Last Date of Registration is Oct. 10, 2021.
  2. No cost of preparing design for competition is payable to the participants.
  3. Decision of the expert-panel will be final and binding regarding the award.
  4. All participants will get participation certificates.
